Total congratulates Muntajat for launching Marketing headquarters

Total attended the opening ceremony of Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company (Muntajat)’s international marketing headquarters ‘Muntajat Besloten Vennoot’ (Muntajat B.V) which recently took place in the Hague, Netherlands.

Over forty of Total’s employees and contractors were present in the ceremony which consisted of a gala dinner, and opening speeches of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Qatar's Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman of Muntajat, Mr. Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Abdulla, CEO of Muntajat and other top Muntajat executives.
 
In order to signify the strong relationship between Total and Muntajat, Mr. Xavier Bontemps, Senior Vice President Polymers Business Unit at Total, handed over a congratulatory trophy to Mr. Yousef Jahem Al-Kuwari, Executive Marketing Director, and Mr. Yousuf Darwish Fakhroo, Polymer Director of Muntajat.
 

Dr Philippe Vindevoghel, Managing Director Refining & Chemicals Qatar who also attended the ceremony said, “This is an important milestone for Muntajat, and we would like to congratulate them for establishing their headquarters. This will indeed help chemical and petrochemical products from Qatar to reach an even wider market. We have had a strong relationship with Muntajat from their establishment in 2012, and we will continue to support them."

Total is a partner with Qapco and Qatofin in one of the largest ethane cracker in the world, producing 1.3 million of ethylene per year. Total also produces over 500,000 tons a year of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE Total has had a continuous presence in Qatar for close to 80 years, and is the only international oil company active in all branches of Qatar’s oil and gas sector. This includes exploration and production, refining and petrochemicals, and the marketing of lubricants. ) plant, both of which are marketed and distributed solely by Muntajat.
