Total commemorates Qatar Tennis Federation with masterpiece

In view of the strong partnership shared between Total and Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF), Total commemorated Qatar Tennis Federation with a masterpiece, which has become Total’s signature for Qatar Total Open 2015.

The masterpiece was created by Thamer Mubarak Al Dossari, a student in Qatar University, and he was present to hand out the art to His Excellency Nasser Bin Ghanim Al Khelaifi, President of Qatar Tennis Federation during the Qatar Total Open 2015 Gala dinner held in Four Seasons on 22^nd February 2015. The ceremony was attended by over 300 dignitaries, players and guests, including top seeded players Agnieska Radwanska, Victoria Azarenka, Petra Kvitova and Carolina Wozniacki.

Total’s strong association with Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) dates back to 14 years ago when Total sponsored the very first edition of the Qatar Total Open. The tournament has grown since then, and become one of the major sporting events in Qatar, attracting the biggest tennis stars in the world while shining a grand spotlight on Doha.

“QTF has undoubtedly proven its ability to organize world class Grand Slam class tournaments, and as a long time partner of Qatar Tennis Federation, we are very proud to present H.E. Mr. Nasser Al Khelaifi with this token of appreciation," said Guillaume Chalmin, Total E&P Qatar Managing Director and Group Representative. “As we see the tournament grow every year in turn promoting and highlighting tennis in Qatar, we will continue our support of it."

Total had reached out to Thamer to create his art, in an effort to support the Qatari art community and to create a between arts and sports, and to reflect diversity while reaching a wider audience.
