Internship successfully concluded for school students in Qatar

Total E&P Qatar’s internship program, which was organized for high school students in their senior year, to help them understand the activities and career paths related to oil, gas and energy industry has successfully come to an end.

The annual internship program started on 1st February 2015 for students of Lycee Bonaparte.

They were hosted in Total E&P Qatar’s headquarters located in Alfardan towers, where they met with Guillaume Chalmin, Managing Director of Total E&P Qatar and Group Representative, as well as Total’s Vice Presidents and senior executives.

Nine students also visited Total’s state of the art research facility, Total Research Centre – Qatar (TRC-Q), located in Qatar Science and Technology Park. They were introduced to research and development by Philippe Julien, Director of TRC-Q, and other employees in the facility, and were given a tour of the laboratories.

The student’s were presented with the company’s operations, research contribution, corporate responsibility activities, in addition to future career opportunities.

Welcoming the students, Guillaume Chalmin said, “We are delighted to offer the students firsthand experience of our company’s functions. We look forward to such collaborations with the education sector where we can effectively contribute by sharing our knowledge and expertise."
